Advancing Health Equity, a Strategic Priority for FDA/CDRH and Health Canada

Description:
For both FDA and Health Canada, advancing health equity along the total product life cycle of medical devices is a strategic priority. In an effort to ensure success, we all play a role in moving this initiative forward. Whether it is working on improving enrollment in clinical studies of underrepresented participants to address disparities or finding ways how technology can help bridge the divide while advancing better healthcare quality of life and wellness for all. In this session, you will hear from both the US and Canadian Governments on what they are doing in this space and how we, as responsible contributors can help.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to understand Health Equity objectives from the US and Canada.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to identify, prepare, organize and execute on action items that help bring more structure to health equality in their own organizations.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to take actionable tasks to their leadership and ensure continues support of this important objective.
