Paul Brown, PhD

Associate Director for Pharmacology and Toxicology
Food and Drug Administration

Dr. Brown is an Associate Director for Pharmacology and Toxicology in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the FDA. He has been at the FDA since 1996 and in his current position in the Office of New Drugs since 2008.

Prior to coming to the FDA he was at the National Cancer Institute from 1991 to 1996. He received his Ph.D. in toxicology from the University of Maryland in 1991.

Dr. Brown has participated in the development and implementation of a number of FDA and ICH guidances on pharmaceutical development. He participates in a variety of FDA, Federal and external working groups related to pharmacology and toxicology topics.
