Commander Danielle Terrell, PharmD, MS, JD, is Associate Director for Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Nonprescription Drugs (ONPD), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a Pharmacy Officer in the United States Public Health Service (PHS) Commissioned Corps. She coordinates and participates in the planning, development, administration, execution, and coordination of programs, initiatives, and policies related to nonprescription drugs, including over-the-counter (OTC) monograph reform. Since 2011, she has held various roles in CDER including risk management analyst in the Division of Risk Management (DRISK), Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology (OSE) and health science policy analyst in the Division of Medical Programs (DMPP), Office of Medical Policy (OMP), and interdisciplinary scientist in ONPD.
Danielle received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University; Master of Science in Pharmacy with a concentration in pharmaceutical outcomes and policy research from the University of Florida; and a Juris Doctor (concentration in Health Law) from the University of Maryland.
