Kunal Kanani, PharmD, MBA

Executive Director, Head of Regulatory Affairs
Annexon Biosciences

Kunal is currently the head of Regulatory affairs at Annexon Biosciences, a clinical stage biotechnology company to treat devastating autoimmune, neurodegenerative, and ophthalmic diseases of the body, brain and eye. Kunal has over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused mainly on rare disease drug development working with Regulators in US, Europe, and Japan at Noven Pharmaceuticals, Ultragenyx, and Zogenix. He has successfully led Regulatory strategy in all phases of development and most recently led the approval of Fintepla® for the treatment of rare epileptic diseases. Kunal holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from University of Georgia, a Doctor of Pharmacy from LECOM School of Pharmacy, and a MBA from Boston University. Kunal also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Rutgers University.
