Accessibility Services

All the convention center's entrances are equipped with access ramps and automatic doors. Reserved parking spaces for permit holders are available at the Viger parking lot, accessible by Rue Chenneville. 

Wheelchair Rentals - You can reserve a complimentary wheelchair at the Info Desk located on Level 2 or by clicking here the following link. Please note that reservations are on a first come, first served basis and require an ID and refundable $25 (CAD) deposit.

Code of Conduct

RAPS is dedicated to creating a safe, productive and welcoming forum for all participants—members, volunteers, registrants, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, staff, technology partners and solutions providers — to engage with one another during our in-person and online events.

As regulatory professionals, we have the professional and ethical responsibility to maintain the highest professional conduct standards and embody the RAPS Code of Ethics in our words, actions, and deeds. Consequences for unacceptable behavior may include dismissal from the event.

RAPS has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at our meetings. If you witness unacceptable behavior, please contact RAPS staff as soon as possible, either in person or by completing this anonymous form.

Unacceptable Behavior is defined as:
 • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
 • Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, RAPS staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.
 • Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, RAPS staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.
 • Disruption of presentations, expo hall exchanges or networking events in-person or across a virtual platform.
 • Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. RAPS reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.
 • Participants should not copy or take screen shots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in-person or virtually.

RAPS will continue to provide a community that focuses on developing and sustaining a competent global regulatory workforce that drives exceptional regulatory practice and policy to advance public health.

 

Dress Code & What to Bring

Dress Code - The dress code is business casual. Hotels and convention center rooms often run cold, so it’s recommended plan accordingly. Comfy shoes are recommended.

Devices & Note Taking - Attendees are welcome, but not required, to bring items for use of taking notes throughout the conference - this includes pens, paper, laptops and tablets. It's recommended that you charge devices accordingly in case charging is not readily available in the convention center.

Water - There are many water refill stations located through the convention center. Attendees are welcome to bring their own water bottles to refill during the event. Click here to see map of refill areas:  https://cdmcd.co/qdvy66  

 

Montréal Weather

Early October in Montréal typically has average highs of 56°F / 13°C and lows of 43°F / 6°C. It's recommended you check prior to plan accordingly.  

 

Meals & Water Refill Locations

Meals - Full conference registration includes continental breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks each day, plus the exhibit hall opening reception on Tuesday evening. One ticket to the closing party on Thursday is included for full conference registrants only (reservation required).

Workshop days (separate fee) include breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks.

Attendees can use the event website and app to browse sessions, build schedules, connect with other attendees and receive exclusive alerts and info throughout the event.Simply log in using the credentials that were emailed to you after you registered.

Regulatory Cares Community Giveback (Booth 115 - Exhibit Hall)

RAPS is pleased that our community will support two local communities while in Montreal, The Native Women’s Shelter of Montréal and Dans la rue. During Convergence, please participate in the Regulatory Community Give Back activity in Booth 115 in the Exhibit Hall to assemble care packages for The Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal and Dans la rue in their efforts to assist the community.

Can I Download Presentation Slides?

Presentation slides will be available for download through the event website and app starting one (1) week prior to the event. It is important to note that some presenters choose NOT to share or upload slides for their session. Other following conditions apply:

  • Monday & Tuesday preconference workshop slides are ONLY available to registered, preconference workshop attendees.
  • Wednesday & Thursday concurrent session slides are ONLY available to registered, full conference attendees.
  • If a presenter updates their slides on the same day of their session, these slides may not be available in the event website or app until the following day.

Will Continuing Education (RAC Credits) Credits Be Available?

Attending RAPS Convergence provides you with 12 RAC recertification credits.

Post-event surveys and your certificate of attendance will be available 1 to 2 weeks after Convergence has concluded.

Your credits will display on the certificate of attendance that you can download after completing the Convergence evaluation.

 

Will Session Recordings Be Available?

No, sessions and presentations are NOT recorded. Audio or video recordings of Convergence sessions is prohibited.

 

How Long Will Meeting Materials Be Available?

Access to the meeting agenda, presentations and your certificate of attendance will no longer be available after 6 months post-event.
